PACE announced resolution on racial discrimination of the Crimean Tatars by the Russian Federation

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) decided to prepare a report and a resolution on “Racial discrimination of the Crimean Tatars by Russia in Crimea.” This was announced on Thursday, March 15, by the Chairman of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Volodymyr Ariev.

“Just the PACE Burea has unanimously decided that the Assembly will issue a separate report and resolution on “Racial discrimination of theCrimean Tatars by Russia in Crimea.” The day before yesterday the PACE Monitoring Committee voted for the need of preparing this resolution,” – he wrote.

In addition, according to Ariev, there are reasons to believe that at the PACE Session in April there will be a possibility to hold the separate debates on attempts on the former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter by using neuromuscular blocking agents, as well as on the illegal Russian presidential elections in occupied Crimea.
