In the joint declaration of the International “Crimean Platform” Parliamentary Summit, the participants expressed their intention to further strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, Krym.Realii reports.

“In the final document, the summit participants emphasized that restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, including the de-occupation of Crimea and Aqyar, as well as ensuring the state sovereignty of Ukraine, is a fundamental prerequisite for ending the war and establishing lasting peace in the region,” he noted.

The parliamentarians also condemned Russia’s holding of so-called “referendums” and “elections” in the occupied territories.

The representatives of the countries participating in the summit intend to support the application and further strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation, to take diplomatic, economic and other measures to put pressure on the Russian Federation, as well as to oppose the circumvention of sanctions.
