Central Election Commission to Deal with Organization and Conducting Elections to Crimean Tatar Local Bodies of National Self-Governance

Considering that in compliance with the Article 16.4 “On the elections of the delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People” the Central Election Commission of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People is responsible for the organization and conducting the elections to the local bodies of the national self-governance, the Mejlis adopted the decision providing that the Decision of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People of August 17, 2008 “On the Commission on the preparation and conducting of the elections to the local Mejlises” is not valid.

The members of the Mejlis voted unanimously for this decision at the meeting of the Mejlis on November 5, 2013

It bears reminding that Mr Zair Smedlyaev chairs the Central Election Commission of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People.
