Visit to Ankara
In the capital of the Republic of Turkey an official visit of Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, is taking place. A Ukrainian delegation to Ankara included also Leader of the Crimean Tatar People – Mustafa Dzhemilev, Deputy Chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People – Akhtem Chiygoz and Ilmi Umerov, and Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine – Emine Dzhappar.
The visit began yesterday with a flower-laying ceremony at the Mausoleum of the First President of the Republic of Turkey – Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the opening of a modernized Embassy’s Consular Department with a visitor flow regulatory system and online registration that help more efficiently to arrange a customer service.
Today, in Ankara, a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and Volkan Bozkır, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Parliament, was held. Also, a meeting with members of the inter-parliamentary group of Turkish-Ukrainian friendship headed by Hussein Shahin was held.
The visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will last until March 31. Its main ideas are: to hold the 6th Meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group (JSPG) co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey – Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, to hold meetings with the leadership of the Turkish State and parliamentarians, as well as to make a presentation of the film “Cyborgs” in Ankara.
