Veterans of Crimean Tatar National Movement Congratulated Chairman of Crimean Tatar People Mustafa Jemilev with Awarding of «Light of Justice» Prize

On July 14, 2011 the veterans of Crimean Tatar National movement visited the office of Mejlis where they in friendly and warm atmosphere sincerely congratulated the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people with awarding of “Light of Justice” Prize.

As is known “Light of Justice” award is given for the spiritual, moral and ethic leadership, development of the democratic values and tolerance in the society.

The veterans noted that awarding the Chairman of the supreme representative body of the Crimean Tatar people is an important event in the history of the National movement and the Crimean Tatar people in general. “This is the next step in understanding by the world community of Mustafa Jemilev’s role and significance in preserving peace and human rights defense,” – Zevjet Kurtumerov, an active participant of the Crimean Tatar National movement, member of Mejlis noted.

This day the meeting was attended by the following guests that shared with the Chairman of Mejlis M.Jemilev both hardships and joy during many years of their human rights advocacy and their fight for the return of Crimean Tatars to their Homeland: Zampira Asanova, Shefika Konsul, Vedjiye Kashka, Rolan Islyamov, Lir Khalilov, Ediye Muradasyl, Fadmesherfe Mambetova, Lenara Umerova, Ferasultan Muslyadinova, Mambet Useinov, Zevjet Kurtumerov, Gulizar Yunusov and member of Mejlis Ali Khamzin.

Note:
In 2011 the Ukrainian – Canadian panel awarded the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, famous human rights advocate, MP of Ukraine, candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize Mustafa Jemilev“ with Light of Justice” Prize.

The solemn ceremony was held on July 9, 2011 in Lvov Regional Philharmonic Society.
