Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Established Temporary Special Commission on Crimea

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mr Vladimir Rybak signed the Decision of the Parliament on establishment of the VR of Ukraine Temporary Special Commission on the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, adopted on June 18, 2013.

13 MPs which were elected in the majoritarian districts and in accordance with the party lists from Crimea entered the commission. They represented 4 deputy factions – Batkivschina, Udar, Party of Regions and Communists. The faction of the Party “Svoboda” refused from participation in the Commission.

Mr Boris Deych, member of the faction of the Party of Regions, one of the oldest MPs of the Ukrainian Parliament headed the Temporary Special Commission.

Mustafa Jemilev, Head of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People, Ukrainian MP represents the Batkivschina faction in the Commission.
