Rustem Ennanov Was Elected the Chairman of Dzhankoy Regional Mejlis

On May 8, 2011 a conference of Crimean Tatars of Dzhankoy region dedicated to election of the chairman of Dzhankoy regional mejlis was held in Dzhankoy.

The conference was attended by 159 delegates representing 27 local mejlises of 193 elected on April 17, 2011 by direct secret ballot.

The conference was chaired by the first deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, chairman of Commission on preparation and organization of elections of local mejlises Refat Chubarov. The conference was also attended by the deputies Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Remzi Ilyasov and Akhtem Chiygoz as well as the members of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Safure Kadzhametova, Ruslan Kurtseitov, Islyam Khalilov.

In the course of the conference two candidates among the delegates of the conference Abdulveliev Enver and Ennanov Rustem were nominated for the position of the chairman of Dzhankoy regional mejlis.

The elected returning board on election of the chairman of Dzhankoy regional Mejlis chaired by Enver Kasymov read the protocol of the returning board’s meeting, acquainting the delegates of the conference with the ballot paper and procedure of direct secret ballot.

Following the secret ballot its results were made public.

So, 57 delegates of the conference gave their votes for Enver Abduveliev and 93 for Rustem Ennanov. 3 ballot papers were recognized as invalid.
In accordance with the protocol of the returning board of the regional conference on elections of the chairman of Dzhankoy regional Mejlis, Rustem Ennanov was elected new chairman of Dzhankoy regional mejlis.

At the suggestion of newly elected chairman of Dzhankoy regional mejlis Rustem Ennanov Ablyamit Abibulaev, Ablyatif Adzhiumerov, Enver Kasymov, Muzafer Kerimov, Reshat Mefaev and Seydamet Talipov were additionally included into the structure of Dzhankoy regional mejlis, that automatically consisted of the chairmen of local mejlises.

Addressing the delegates of the conference and new leaders of Dzhankoy regional mejlis the first deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov congratulated the new chairman and thanked the participants of the conference for successfully conducted elections that were carried out strictly in compliance with the “Provision on local bodies of national self-government of the Crimean Tatar people”.

Reference: on April 17, 2011 elections of local mejlises of Dzhankoy region were held. 193 members of local mejlises to 27 local mejlises were elected from 238 candidates on 36 polling stations.
