Round Table in Sofia
On March 14, Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, flew immediately to Sofia to take a part in the discussion on “Four years of the occupation of Crimea: Is there any way out of the impasse?”
The event was held in the House of Europe supported by the Embassy of Ukraine to Bulgaria. Mykola Baltazhy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Bulgaria, said the welcoming speech in the beggining.
The discussion took the format of a Round Table. Besides the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People the executive director of the Institute for Regional and International Studies Ognyan Minchev, a political scientist Daniel Smilov and other well-known experts in the field of conflictology and international law took part in it. The moderator of the discussion was Vessela Tcherneva Head of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in Sofia Office.
