«Revival of System of National Education Requires Consolidation of Whole Scientific Community of Crimean Tatar People,» – Mr Refat Chubarov

On December 20, 2013, Mr Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People met with Mr Ayder Memetov, dean of the department of the Crimean Tatar and Oriental Philology of TNU in the office of the Mejlis. Mrs Emine Avamileva, Head of the Department of education in the Crimean Tatar language and introduction of the Crimean Tatar language in all fields of the state and public life of Crimea also joined the meeting.

The parties discussed the activity of the department of the Crimean Tatar and Oriental Philology of TNU. In particular, Mr Ayder Memetov once again stated about the possible reorganization of the department that he chairs and the negative consequences of such step of the administration of the university.

The Chairman of the Mejlis also suggested discussing the problem of the training of the staff for the Crimean Tatar schools. First of all they discussed the training of teachers, particularly the teachers of history, social science, ethics, geography, biology, physics and other subjects in the Crimean Tatar language. Mr Ayder Memetov stated that his department is ready to train the students of the corresponding specialties in the Crimean Tatar language in order to provide the national schools and classes with the pedagogical staff required.

Mr Refat Chubarov stated that the Mejlis is ready to provide assistance to the department of the Crimean Tatar and Oriental Philology of TNU. At this he noted that the revival of the system of the national education requires the consolidation of the whole scientific community of the Crimean Tatar people.
