Representatives of Simferopol Regional Mejlis Met With Authorities of Simferopol Region

On June 22, 2012 the meeting was held in the premises of Simferopol Regional State Administration between the members of Simferopol Regional Mejlis and authorities of Simferopol region. The last were represented by the Head of Simferopol Regional Council Sergey Krutsuk, Head of Simferopol Regional State Administration Vladimir Zhivitsa, representatives of the law enforcement agencies of Simferopol region and workers of the Department of education of Simferopol Regional State Administration.

The Head of Simferopol Regional Mejlis Lemar Yunusov, the initiator of the meeting told about the issues that were discussed at the meeting.

L.Yunusov noted that such dialogue was the first for the last twenty years and since now such meetings and discussions of the urgent problems of Crimean Tatars, living in Simferopol region will be held every three months.

 “The most sensitive issues, relating to the current situation of our nationals were discussed at the meeting,- the Head of Simferopol Regional Mejlis Lemar Yunusov continued. The major ones were the land issues, education in Crimean Tatar language, interrelations with the authorities and prospects of establishment of the constant and productive dialogue with Simferopol Regional State Administration. We also raised the question of the representation of the heads of local mejlises of our region in Simferopol Village Councils. We guess that this question was heard and will be solved positively”.

Lemar Yunusov also noted that considering that this was the first meeting for the last years, it had more informative nature.

The representatives of Simferopol Regional Mejlis also told in details about the problems, existing in the settlements of Simferopol region, about their wishes, and the authorities promised to do all possible for their solution and implementation.

 “One more important issue, L.Yunusov said, was the discussion of the creation of an appendix to the newspaper “Selsky Truzhenik” in Crimean Tatar language. The founder of the newspaper is Simferopol Regional Council and such one page appendix to the newspaper will be issued soon. The responsible for this will be the Deputy Head of Gvardeysky Village Council, Head of the local Mejlis of Gvardeyskoe village Dilyaver Ablaev”.

The Head of Simferopol Regional Mejlis Lemar Yunusov noted that undoubtedly, all the issues couldn’t be solved soon, but the mutual desire of the parties to conduct an active dialogue on the problems and make the necessary decisions is a good sign.
