Representation of Mejlis in Lithuania Takes Part in Preparation of International Forum

On August 19, 2011 the representative of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in Lithuania, Chairman of the Union of Lithuanian Tatars Dr. Adas Yakubauskas met with the Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and the current Chairman of the OSCE Audronus Azhubalis.

During the meeting the parties discussed preparation and organization of the International Forum on restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people on their native land, securing their safety and guaranties of development in Ukraine.

In the context of this issue the parties also discussed the possibility of the meeting of the current Chairman of the OSCE Audronus Azhubalis with the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev. The Minister asked to inform him about the process of preparation of the forum, as well as to set in advance the date of holding of such important event.
