Refat Chubarov: Two Provocations During One Night… Who Wants to Blow Up Crimea

At night on November 30 – December 1, 2012 two attacks were made in Crimea against Crimean Tatars within several hours.

According to the eyewitnesses at about 2 a.m. around 100 young men came to the “protest camp”, located along “Moscow” road next to Molodezhnoe settlement. They were partly Cossacks, partly owners of the land plots whose land rights are claimed by Crimean Tatars – the participants of the “protest camp” who built more than 100 small houses or basements for the future houses in this territory.

The goal of the night guests, as they said was “the restoration” of their rights for the land, challenged. At this, neither the night robbers, nor the leadership of Crimean militia, whose officers, including “Berkut” accompanied them, were not embarrassed neither with the time, nor with the methods, as well as the possible consequences of the night attack…

About 20 Crimean Tatars that became the eyewitnesses of destroying of more than 100 houses, built by the participants of the “protest camp” didn’t make any steps in response, considering justly that the main goal of the night robbers was to provoke the conflict to let them use all their means of suppression against the participants of the “protest camp”.

Presently, there are small militia forces left at the site that, according to their statement has their goal to prevent the direct conflict between the parties.

Literally within two hours after the destruction of the “protest camp” next to Molodezhnoe settlement, at around 5 a.m. on December 1, 2012 the unestablished persons made an attack on the guard it the territory of the future construction of Buyuk Juma Jami (Central Mosque) in Simferopol using glass bottles, filled with an inflammable liquid.

One of the bombs set fire to the trailer that was put out by the guard.

Right after receiving the information about the accident Mufti of Muslims of Crimea hajji Emirali Ablaev and the First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov as well as the militia officers came to the scene.

According to R.Chubarov, the investigating group of the Ministry of the internal affairs of Ukraine in Crimea started examination and description of the scene.

“At 4 p.m. the Ministry of the internal affairs of Ukraine in Crimea made the official statement about the accident in 22, Yaltinska Str. – http://www.crm-mia.gov.ua/ru/news/ustanavlivayutsya-obstoyatelstva-incidenta-imevshego-mesto-v-simferopole-na-uchastke-otvedennom, however there was no information about the night destruction of the “protest camp” next to Molodezhnoe settlement,”- Refat Chubarov wrote in his Facebook page.

“I’ll refrain from any public announcement of the versions of the attacks on Crimean Tatars at night on November 30 – December 1, 2012, the MP of the VR ARC Refat Chubarov said, – however, I’d like to note that as far back as few days ago I called the leaders of the law enforcement agencies from the tribune of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea to pay attention to the activization of a range of marginal Crimean politicians whose actions were aimed at firing hatred in Crimea”.

Refat Chubarov is sure that the very law enforcement agencies must answer at the question “Who and why wants blow up Crimea”.
