Refat Chubarov: «Come to Central Square and Make Nazi Politicians Honor Yourself and Your People!»
The First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov in his personal Facebook page called everyone who was humiliated by the Nazi statements of CPU’s leader Peter Simonenko against the Crimean Tatar people to come to the square and show one’s personal attitude to this politician.
Today, on August 22, 2012 the meeting of CPU’s Leader Peter Simonenko with the electorate –Crimean residents was planned at the Central Square in Simferopol. It is evident that this meeting was meant to promote his election campaign. Ukrainian communists and their leader Peter Simonenko plans to obtain the votes of Crimean residents at the coming Parliamentary elections,- R.Chubaroc wrote. There is no doubt that many of those who’ll read my post were shocked and humiliated by Peter Simonenko’s Nazi speech from the tribune of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine when in May 2012 he stated:
– “…the measure to replace them from Crimea was taken namely to save the Crimean Tatar people…”,
– “… there, where they were deported and obtained education, where they grew up, became academicians, heads of the major enterprises. This measure was taken namely to save the Crimean Tatar people…”
Today everyone of us,
– who was humiliated by Peter Simonenko’s Nazi statement,
– who preserves in one’s heart an unceasing pain over those who died during the deportation and the first years of exile, one’s relatives and tens of thousands of Crimean Tatars,
– who realizes the threat of the revanche of the misanthropic ideas, professed by Ukrainian communists and their leader Peter Simonenko,
– for those who consider that dignity and honor are not an empty words there is a direct possibility to express one’s personal attitude to Peter Simonenko’s repeated Nazi statements against the Crimean Tatar people.
“Today, on August 22, 2012 at 17.00 we come together in the Central Square in Simferopol. Our location is the Central Square, the place near Kirov Street – between the monument and the building of Ukrainian Theatre,”- the First Vice Chairman of Mejlis Refat Chubarov notes.
According to R.Chubarov the goal of the meeting, in compliance withthe right to peaceful meeting and freedom of word, to express our attitude to the threat of the revanche of neo-Stalinism in Ukraine.
“Our actions – to make Peter Simonenko apologize in public before the Crimean Tatar people for humiliation and actions, aimed at stirring the ethnic discord and enmity in Ukraine and Crimea, in particular, using the non-violent measures,”- R.Chubarov wrote in his Facebook page.
Come to the Central Square and make the Nazi politicians honor yourself and your people!
We would remind you that on May 16, 2012 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine failed to pass the Draft Law of Ukraine “On the restoration of the rights of persons, deported on the national grounds”.
At this, the members of CPU faction didn’t vote, but before this their leader Peter Simonenko made the scandalous statement, justifying in public the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.
