R.Chubarov has Called “Moral Deformities” Those Who Committed Act of Desecration of Portrait of Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Legendary Pilot Amet-Khan Sultan

On July 17, 2012 during the press conference that was dedicated to the coming 4th session of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5th convocation the First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov commented on the act of desecration of the portrait of Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, the legendary pilot Amet-Khan Sultan.

“I don’t even know what to say,”- Refat Chubarov said. – I have visited Amet-Khan Sultan Square where the big portrait of the Hero of the WW2 is hanging on the wall of the building and of course I was shocked with what I’ve seen. You all know this place. The portrait was hanging high above the ground. Nevertheless, the barbarians did their dirty deed…”

Refat Chubarov also wondered if there is any video cameras and how efficient is our Militia if such barbarian acts could be committed in one of the central squares of our town. “That is why,- Refat Chubarov called the journalists to ask comments of the town’s authorities and law enforcement agencies as well”.

“The Supreme Council of ARC makes no logical decision about giving Simferopol airport the name of Twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan,”- R.Chubarov noted. Such ignoring on the part of the officials results in such meanness on the part of moral deformities that unfortunately live in Crimean society”.

We would remind you that at night 15-16 July, 2012 the unknown persons painted a Nazi symbol “swastika” in the face of the famous pilot, Twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan.
