On May 11, 2013 Annual Action – Climbing to Chatyrdag Mountain – to be Held
The action “Climbing to Chatyrdag Mountain 2013” will be held on May 11, 2013 in the framework of the events, commemorating the victims of the genocide of 1944.
The action represents itself the climbing of Crimean youth to one of the highest Crimean mountains, installation of Crimean Tatar national flag, making dua (prayer), commemorating those who died during the deportation and collective singing of the national anthem.
The organizers of the action are: Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, World Congress of Crimean Tatars, Federation of National Wrestling Kuresh, Crimean public and youth organizations.
One should note that “Climbing to Chatyrdag Mountain” is the traditional action, held by Crimean youth annually since 2010.
The representatives of the young generation came from all over Crimea to commemorate the victims of the genocide of 1944.
Participation of 2000-3000 people is expected.
The participants of the actionwill gather on May 13, Saturday, at 8.30 a.m. on Angar pass and set out at 9.00 a.m.
