Office of Mejlis Was Pelted with Packs with Paint

In early morning on February 25, 2014, the unestablished persons pelted the building of the Charitable Organization “Foundation Crimea” where the office of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People is located with packs with yellow paint.

On February 25, 2014, at 6 a.m. the Head of the Secretariat at the Mejlis Mr Dilyaver Akiev who was on a duty at night on February 24-25, 2014 in the office of the Mejlis, found that the walls of the building were spilled with yellow paint. He called the police immediately that arrived at the site quickly.

At the moment, the law enforcement officers investigate the records of the video camera surveillance that were installed on the building.

According to Mr Veis Saityaev, Head of the Department of coordination of the activity of Main Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in ARC in the field of the interethnic relations, the criminal case was instituted in compliance with the Art. 296, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism).
