Navrez Congratulations

On these days, the Crimean Tatars as all Turkic peoples of the whole world welcome Nowruz or Navrez (in Crimean Tatar) as the harbinger of spring, warmth, and a new agricultural year. For centuries, the Turkic peoples respected nature, the environment, by feeling the subtleconnection with their land.

And even if the winter is making it long this year, on behalf of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People I wish to my compatriots, all Turks, as well as the whole mankind good harvests, prosperity, peace and harmony.

Now, the forces of evil, destruction and hate are posing a challenge to these traditional values. But I am sure that with God’s help, the forces of good, creation and love will win – we will win. The Spring will surely come.
