We were waiting for this joyful event a few days ago, which I cautiously noticed in my Telegram channel on June 26.

The Almighty did not leave Nariman DZHELAL, his family, all of us without mercy!

Now, following the President of Ukraine Volodymyr ZELENSKY, we can announce that our friend, brother and ally, the first deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Nariman Dzhelial, is not just free, but already in Ukraine!

It is impossible to speak in detail, but I assure you that Ukraine fought and continues to fight for the release of all Kremlin prisoners.

The authorized bodies of Ukraine constantly offer various options and formats for the release of political prisoners, including those that take into account the state of health and age of political prisoners, the presence of minor children and elderly parents in need of care, etc.

Various countries, international politicians, moral and spiritual authorities are involved in the case of the release of Crimean political prisoners…

However, the Russian side categorically refuses to release/exchange Kremlin prisoners – residents of Crimea.

The release of Nariman Dzhelal happened due to the coincidence of many circumstances and conditions, when the Russian side, seeking the release of the people it needed by the Ukrainian side, was forced to make this decision.

We thank all the negotiators from the side of Ukraine, including the tireless Rustem Umerov, currently the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, for their efforts in the release of the Kremlin prisoners – residents of Crimea.

We are especially grateful to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr ZELENSKY, for his personal efforts and constant interaction with the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, with the aim of releasing all the prisoners of the Kremlin – Crimean Tatars and ethnic Ukrainians.

Sharing the joy of the release of our friend, brother Nariman Dzhelal with his relatives, friends, associates, we are even more aware of the importance of our further efforts for the release of each of the Kremlin prisoners – residents of Crimea.

We assure our courageous and indomitable compatriots, deprived of their freedom by the Russian occupiers for love and loyalty to their Motherland and their people, that we will continue to do everything in our power for your release.

There is no doubt that thanks to the Ukrainian state, partner countries, and, of course, the Defense Forces of Ukraine, in whose units Crimean Tatar soldiers are also fighting against the Russian enemy, the state sovereignty of Ukraine over Crimea will be restored and we will all be able to embrace in the native Crimea.

Yaşasın Qırımtatar halqı!

Glory to Ukraine!

Refat Chubarov,

Head of the Crimean Tatar people
