Mustafa Jemilev’s Prague Meetings

On the first day of the work of the 15th International Conference “Forum 2000”, opened on October 9, 2011 in Prague the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev held meeting with the President of Czech Republic (1993-2003), human rights advocate and founder of “Forum 2000” Václav Havel during which they have discussed the issue of carrying out of the International forum on the restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people to their homeland, its security and guarantees of development in Ukraine.

The legendary human rights advocate and staunch supporter of the democratic development of post-totalitarian states Václav Havel spoke in defense of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people’s initiative concerning the carrying out of the International forum and stated about his readiness to promote to its implementation.

At the same day Mustafa Jemilev had a brief talk with the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili during which the parties agreed to discuss the issues, related to the development of Crimea and restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people in the framework of the International Conference “Forum 2000”.
