Mustafa Jemilev Met with Chancellor of Middle East University Mr Suat Gunsel

On August 28, 2012 the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev met with the Chancellor and founder of Yakin Dogu University (Middle East University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) Professor Suat Gunsel.

During the meeting Mustafa Jemilev and Suat Gunsel noted that the active and productive work has to be continued in order to strengthen and develop the relations in the field of education.

Mr Gunsel expressed his satisfaction with studying of three Crimean Tatar students from Crimea, representing their region in the best advantage.

The meeting was also attended by the Leader of Mejlis’ assistant, Head of the Committee of Crimean International Business Association (CIBA) on Investments and International Trade Rustem Umerov.

As reported, on August 15, 2012 the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev and Chancellor of Yakin Dogu University (Middle East University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) Professor Suat Gunsel signed the agreement on the long-term mutual cooperation in the framework of the friendly relations between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Turkish-Ukrainian trading relations, as well as the cooperation in the economical, technical, scientific and cultural areas in order to strengthen the mutual technical, scientific and educational ties.

Annually, three students are enrolled at the Middle East University of TRNC to obtain the higher education in the department of the economic and social sciences of this university.
