Mustafa Jemilev Meets Residents of Alushta Region
As reported, on April 28, 2012 the elections of the members to Alushta Mejlis, Bujuk Lambat, Kuchuk Ozen and Korbekul local mejlises to be held in Alushta region.
On the eve of the elections the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine, Mustafa Jemilev had numerous meetings with the residents of Alushta region.
The meetings were also attended by the Deputy Chairman of Mejlis, Deputy Head of the Commission on preparation and organization of the elections to local mejlises Ali Ozenbash, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of Mejlis, Abduraman Egiz and Head of the Board of Alushta Crimean Tatar National – Cultural Society “Chatyr-Dag”, Seit-Yagya Kazakov.
During the meeting there was an active dialogue between the leadership of Mejlis and local residents about the current situation in Alushta region and life of the Crimean Tatar people in the whole. The process of preparation to one of the most responsible steps in Crimean Tatars’ life – the coming elections of the new representatives of the national interests of the residents of Alushta region became one of the major issues of the meetings’ agenda, held on April 21, 2012 in such settlements as: Alushta, Bujuk Lambat, Kuchuk Ozen, Korbekul and Shuma.
People noted that they want to see patriotic, active and wise representatives of local mejlises in the bodies of the national self-governance.
In addition, the representatives of Mejlis called the residents of Alushta region to take an active part in the mass events, held at all-Crimean level – All-Crimean national holiday Khydyrlez and mass memorial events, dedicated to the memory of the victims of genocide of the Crimean Tatar people.
