Mustafa Jemilev and Gennady Maskal Had Meeting with Residents of Sarysu District, Karasubazar Region

On September 11, 2012 the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev and MP of Ukraine Gennady Maskal had meeting with the residents of Sarysu district of Karasubazar region.

The meeting was also attended by the candidate for MPs of Ukraine from the 8th election district Eskender Bariev.

Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev addressed the residents of Karasubazar region reminding them that on October 28, 2012 the election of the MPs of Ukraine to be held in Ukraine and new Verkhovna Rada to be formed.

The meeting was also attended by the candidate for MPs of Ukraine from the 8th election district Eskender Bariev.

Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev addressed the residents of Karasubazar region reminding them that on October 28, 2012 the election of the MPs of Ukraine to be held in Ukraine and new Verkhovna Rada to be formed.

In lights of this the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5th convocation at their 4th session, held on July 22, 2012 adopted the “Resolution of Qurultay on the election of the MPs of Ukraine and the tasks of the bodies of the national self-governance of the Crimean Tatar people”. In compliance with this Resolution the decision was adopted on the consolidated position of Crimean Tatars at the election of October 28, 2012 and realization of the document by all the bodies of the national self-governance of the Crimean Tatar people.

In addition, Mustafa Jemilev underscored that on July 27, 2012 the United opposition “Batkivschina” and Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people signed the joint statement on termination of the negotiations over the election to the Verkhovna Rada and cooperation in the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation through the candidates, delegated by Mejlis to the election list of the United opposition.

Addressing his nationals, Mejlis’ leader called them to show their utmost unity and cohesion and support the candidates for the MPs of Ukraine, nominated in the multi-mandate election district in compliance with the lists of the political force of the United opposition “Batkivschina”, the candidates to the MPs of Ukraine in the single-mandate election districts from Batkivschina, and three independent candidates to the MPs of Ukraine: Nariman Jelyal in the 2nd election district, Akhtem Chiygoz in the 10th election district, and Vladimir Shklyar in the 3rd election district in Crimea.

In his meeting with the residents of Sarysu district the Leader of Mejlis stated that irrespective of the political processes in the country, the representative body of the Crimean Tatar people keeps on forming the spreadsheet of the most sensitive problems of all Crimean Tatar settlements.
