Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mr Dmitry Tabachnik Will Discuss Issues of Education in Crimean Tatar Language with Representatives of Crimean Tatar Intellectuals in First Decade of October

The Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev held the working meeting in Kyiv with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mr Dmitry Tabachnik.

One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was the situation in the Taurida National V.I. Vernadsky University around the reduction of the academic hours and staff at the Department of the Crimean Tatar and Oriental Philology.

During the meeting the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mr Dmitry Tabachnik informed the Mejlis Head Mustafa Jemilev that his Ministry didn’t give any orders concerning the reduction of the staff in Crimean universities and in Ukraine in the whole. In addition, Mr Dmitry Tabachnik also confirmed his decision to hold the working meeting with the representatives of the Crimean Tatar intellectuals in the first decade of October in Crimea where he plans to discuss the issues of preserving and development of Crimean Tatar language and literature.
