Members of Saki Regional Mejlis Are Sure that Head of Mejlis Mustafa Jemilev Is Guarantee for Full-Fledged Conduction of International Forum

The members of the Saki Regional Mejlis addressed the delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People of the 6^th convocation to support the open letter of the veterans and participants of the Crimean Tatar national movement, as well as the public organization “Inkishaf” at the 1^st session of the Qurultay to be held in October 2013 concerning the election of Mustafa Jemilev the Head of the Mejlis.

“We, the members of the Saki Regional Mejlis, having considered the issue relating to the open letter of the participants of the national movement addressed to the new delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People of the 6^th convocation on August 21, 2013 concerning the reelection of Mustafa Jemilev the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People and having considered the applications of the delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People of the 6^th convocation of September 2, 2013 elected from the public organization “Inkishaf” and veterans of the national movement of September 12, 2013, that supported this proposition, state:

– we join the propositions to support the open letter of the participants and veterans of the national movement to nominate and elect Mustafa Jemilev the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People;

– we address the leader of our people Mustafa Jemilev personally to treat with understanding the position of the veterans of the national movement, delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People of the 6^th convocation that made the proposition to reelect him the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People. It was dictated first of all by our concern for the future of our people, the future of the Qurultay – Mejlis system and its preserving as the national self-governance body.

– we hope that the delegates of the 6^th Qurultay of the new convocation will elect the new team of the members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People who will be ready to work permanently and responsibly being answerable before their electors.

– conducting of the International Forum on the restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people in their Homeland, ensuring their security and guaranteeing the development in Ukraine cause our special concern. We are sure that only Mustafa Jemilev’s participation in this Forum as the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People and his high international authority will serve the guarantee for its full-fledged conducting in the interests of our nation.
