Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev Was Awarded «Türk Ocakları» (The Turkish Hearth)

On April 18, 2012 in conclusion of the official meeting of the Crimean delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with the Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Davudoglu, the member of the Board of Crimean Tatar Association of Culture and Mutual Assistance of Ankara, Murtaza Essenkal, attending the talks, awarded the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Jemilev with the 2011 Galip Erdem “Türk Ocağı” (The Turkish Hearth) Prize.

As reported, the decision to award Mustafa Jemilev and the Turkic scholar from Iran, Prof. Dr. Cevat Heyet was announced on the 42nd Grand Congress of the Turkic Culture Association that took place in the Palace of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ankara on April 14, 2012.
