Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev Appears as Guest in Evening Broadcast of “Bayrak Haber” TV Channel

On August 28, 2012 the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev during his working visit to the TurkishRepublic of Northern Cyprus was invited by the broadcasting corporation “Bayrak Radio Television Corporation” to appear in Bayrak HaberTV channel.

During the 40-minutes-long interview the Leader of Mejlis told in details about the history of the Crimean Tatar people, long-lasting national liberating movement of the Crimean Tatar people, deported in 1944 from their Homeland – Crimea, and the difficult process of the return of Crimean Tatars to their historical Homeland. At this, Mustafa Jemilev paid the special attention in his answers to the current situation with the Crimean Tatar people in their native land, noting that today Crimean Tatars represent the minority in their Homeland. “Fortunately, Turk-Cypriots achieved their independence,”- Mejlis’ Leader said, speaking about the further development of the friendly relations between the Crimean Tatar people and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In addition, in his interview Mustafa Jemilev stated that in order to strengthen and broaden the various forms of mutual cooperation Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people along with the Crimean International Business Association in the nearest future are ready to come up with an initiative to arrange an introducing visit of Crimean Tatar entrepreneurs to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
