Mejlis and Charity Organization «Foundation for Development of Crimea» Will Continue Implementation of Joint Projects in 2013 in Framework of Memorandum on Cooperation

On March 19, 2013 the meeting of the Board of the Charity Fo Organization “Foundation for Development of Crimea” was held in Aqmescit (Simferopol).

According to the press service of the Foundation the Board’s meeting considered the issues, relating to the activity of the organization in 2013. The Plan of the Foundation’s activity in 2013 was adopted unanimously, as well as the percentage allocation of finances, received for the activity of the Foundation.

In the framework of its activity the Foundation is going to assist in the implementation of the events in the framework of the Memorandum on the cooperation with Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, including the holding of the International forum under the aegis of the OSCE.

The Charity Organization “Foundation for Development of Crimea” stated about its readiness to support the organization and holding of the annual meeting of the human rights advocates “Crimean Forum”.

In addition, the Board of the Foundation entered into its activity plan 2013 the item of the support of the cultural projects and activity of the public organizations, relating to the development of Crimea, financing of the projects, relating to the restoration of the historical toponymy of Crimea, support of the projects on the restoration of the functioning of Karaite kenesa in Simferopol. The issues of financing of medical treatment, education and other social projects will be considered by the Board of the Foundation in every particular case.

The decision was also adopted to make amendments into the Foundation’s Charter with Umerov Rustem’s further resignation from the post of the President of the Foundation in the second half of 2013. “This decision was related to the necessity of the current President to focus one’s attention on the issues that do not connected to the Foundation’s activity,”- the statement of the press service of the Foundation said.
