Meeting with youth

On Thursday June 29, the meeting of the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov with representatives of the Crimean Tatar youth was held. The large part of the audience were students studying at the Universities of the city. The event was held in the premises of the DP “Crimean House” on the Emelyanovich-Pavlenko street in Kiev.

In the beginning, Refat Chubarov informed about changes that are planned to be introduced to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, he stressed the need to create National-territorial Autonomy within the Ukrainian State. Also the Head of the Mejlis told how the sessions of the Constitutional Commission are held and about the complex processes that will take place before voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

After that, they have moved to the second part – questions and discussion. Representatives of youth were interested in many issues: the status of the Sevastopol city, the features of the electoral process, education, the number of representative bodies, etc. The Head of the Mejlis willingly answered them. 

At the end of a nearly two-hour conversation, Refat Chubarov thanked the young men for such a warm and simple conversation and also wished them academic success.
