Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain
Mustafa Dzhemilev, Leader of the Crimean Tatar People together with Akhtem Chiygoz and Ilmi Umerov, the Deputies Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, within the framework of the visit to the UK met with Boris Johnson, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
Mustafa Dzhemilev informed about the human rights situation in the occupied peninsula, repressions and methods that the FSS (Federal Security Service) commits against the Ukrainian citizens in Crimea. Also, the Crimean Tatar Leader expressed his gratitude for the decisive actions of the British Government towards the Russian Federation after the poisoning of the Russian former spy Skrypal and his daughter. Akhtem Chiygoz called for boycotting all events with Russians participation and to strengthen personal sanctions against Putin’s inner circle.
And in return, Boris Johnson resolutely condemned the actions of the occupants, in particular, the holding of elections in the occupied territory of Ukraine. He promised that Great Britain will do the best to stop the aggressor and restore the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian State.
