On February 7, 2012 the Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on the interethnic relations and deported citizens, the Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Remzi Ilyasov hold the working meeting as a follow up of the measures, aimed at the development of Crimean Tatar language and development of the state program of the education in Crimean Tatar language.

The meeting was also attended by the member of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Head of the Department of Culture and Education of Mejlis, Chairwoman of the Association of Crimean Tatar workers of education “Maarifchi”, Safure Kadzhametova, Head of the Republican Committee of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on Interethnic Relations and Deported Citizens E. Dudakov, Head of the division of education in Crimean Tatar language of the Board of general, secondary, pre-school and special education of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Z. Suleymanova, Head of the Union of Crimean Tatar Writers R.Fazyl, the editors-in-chief of the newspapers “Qirim”, “Yani Dunya”, “Avdet”, and literature magazine “Yildiz”, the representatives of radio and television and general public.

The participants of the meeting summoned up the preliminary results for the passed year, heard the information about the activity of the working group of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on the development of the draft state program of education in Crimean Tatar language, discussed the problems and their possible solution in the framework of the recommendations of the international organizations, studied the practice of support, provided by the international organizations, states and sponsors to the development of Crimean Tatar language and establishment of schools with education in Crimean Tatar language. As a result of the meeting the decision was adopted to summon up the information, obtained and prepare the concluding republican broad meeting, attended by all the persons concerned, as well as the workers of education and general public.

The meeting also approved the event, prepared by I. Gasprinsky Crimean Tatar Library, Association of Crimean Tatar workers of education “Maarifchi” and the Union of Crimean Tatar Writers, timed to the International Day of Native Language on February 21.
