Meeting of Organizing Committee on Preparation and Carrying Out of Memorial Events

On May 14, 2012 the meeting of the Organizing Committee on preparation and carrying out of the memorial events, commemorating the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people (the 68^th anniversary) was held in the office of Mejlis (40, Zhidkov Str.)

The readiness to the memorial events was discussed in details at the meeting, and some other issues were worked further.

The meeting of the Organizing Committee, formed in compliance with the decision of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people of March 4, 2012 was chaired by the Chairman of Mejlis, Mustafa Jemilev.

On the same day the meeting of the Organizing Committee on preparation and carrying out of the memorial events, timed to the day of the memory of the victims of deportation from Crimea was also held in the meeting hall of Simferopol City Council.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Mayor on the activity of the executive bodies, Igor Skutsky.

The work of the Organizing Committee was also attended by the member of the Presidium of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Zair Smedlyaev.
