Head of Mejlis Foreign Relations Department Ali Hamzin to Take Part in Conference Titled: “David and Golliath: Small Nations Under the Totalitarian Rule”

On March 19, 2013 the conference titled: “David and Golliath: Small nations under the totalitarian rule” will be held in European Parliament in Brussels. The conference was devoted to the hard destiny of small nations in the 20^th century. The organizers noted that many small nations had to live through the tragic periods when they were openly persecuted and killed on the ethnic grounds, as well as their religion, culture, language and their national distinctiveness.

Nowadays the tragic pages of the past of the small nations give the right to the European Union no to stay indifferent to their destiny to prevent repeating of these kind of tragedies in the modern world,”- the Conference’s organizers noted.

One of the organizers of the conference, Professor, MEP Inese Vaidere invited the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ali Hamzin to take part in the conference.

Ali Hamzin will make the report, titled: “Crimes of the Communist regime against the Crimean Tatar people”.
