Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Ukraine Jacques Faure Received in his Residence the Head of Crimean Tatar Community in Kyiv Aslan Umerov

The meeting was also attended by Aleksey Skorik, assistant of the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine M.Jemilev and Emanuel Berar, first Secretary of the Embassy, as well as the members of France Academy of Defense’s Graduates Association.

Members of France Academy of Defense’s Graduates Association asked the Head of Crimean Tatar Community in Kyiv Aslan Umerov to tell about the situation in Crimea. He made a special emphasize on the issues of resettlement and return of the formerly deported Crimean Tatar people to Crimea and the democratic aspirations to preserve stability in the peninsular.

In addition, A.Umerov informed French diplomats in details about the necessity and reasons of the International Forum on the restoration of the rights of Crimean Tatar people on their homeland, its security and guarantee of development in Ukraine, including participation of the leading International organizations. Head of Kyiv community drew the diplomats’ attention to the democratic positions of the Crimean Tatar people and its national self-government bodies in implementation of the issues directed on preserving stability and consent in Crimea, as well as the need of providing international assistance to Ukraine in this process.

During the meeting Aslan Umerov and Aleksey Skorik gave irrefragable answers to numerous questions of Association’s members and ambassador of France Mr. Faure.

In conclusion ambassador of France Mr. Faure asked to convey greetings and wishes of success in his work to the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Ukraine Jacques Faure made special emphasize that he has a special interest in the support and participation in the International Forum.
