Crimean Tatar Diaspora in Germany Demands Mr Anatoly Mogilev’s Resignation

On May 18, 2013, the meeting commemorating the victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars was held before the Embassy of Ukraine in Berlin despite heavy rain.

On May 18, 2013, the participants of the meeting in Berlin demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister of Crimea Mr Anatoly Mogilev. Mr Rafet Qaranlik, Head of the Western European Crimean Tatar Cultural Center of Solidarity informed.

The meeting began with the performance of the national anthem of Crimean Tatar people. The participants of the meeting commemorated the numerous victims of the deportation 1944. After that they placed flowers to the building of the embassy in memory of the deportation.

The Crimean Tatar diaspora sent letter to the Embassy of Ukraine to Germany demanding from Ukrainian authorities the resignation of the Head of Crimean Government Anatoly Mogilev.

The General Chairman of the Western European Crimean Tatar Cultural Center of Solidarity, Mr Rafet Qaranlik noted that the deportation of the Crimean Tatars was a real genocide. He also underscored that they will do everything to recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatars as genocide in Europe.

Mr Qaranlik also noted that the end has to be put to the activity of the Prime Minister A.Mogilev aimed at destabilization of the situation in Crimea. He promised that the Crimean Tatars living in Crimea and Europe will always support the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People and the Qurultay of Crimean Tatar People.

Please note on May 18, 2013, the Crimean Tatar national mourning day the organizations of Crimean Tatar diaspora hold the actions commemorating the victims of the genocide of Crimean Tatar people in EU member states and also demanded from Ukraine the immediate restoration of the rights of Crimean Tatar people in their Homeland.
