Chairman of Mejlis Refat Chubarov: No One Could Stop Ukrainian Nation Along with Crimean Tatar People in Their Pursuit of Freedom!

On January 22, 2014, the meeting timed to the Day of Conciliarity of Ukrainewas held in Taras Shevchenko Park in Simferopol/Aqmescit.

Mr Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the Mejlis, delegates of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar People, representatives of Ukrainian national – democratic and Crimean Tatar public organizations, activists of Crimean Euromaidan and representatives of the Crimean community took part in the meeting.

“No One Could Stop Ukrainian Nation Along with Crimean Tatar People in Their Pursuit of Freedom… Happyfeast! Action! Today it is clear that nothing could stop the people. Those why kill the people today and think that they could corner the entire people they would just worsen their situation. There will stand before the court and will be punished,”- the Chairman of the Mejlis believes.

Mr Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis believes that today we should go to freedom together and that it is the memory of those who proclaimed the Ukrainian People’s Republic and adopted the decision on the consolidation of Ukraine unite all Ukrainian citizens today.

The Day of Conciliarity of Ukraine is the Ukrainian holiday celebrated annually on January 22 on the proclamation of the Act of reunion of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic that took place in 1919.

The Day of Conciliarity of Ukraine was proclaimed the state holiday by the Decree of the President on January 22, 1999.
