Chairman of Mejlis met with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jiří Schneider
On June 10, 2011 the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people met with the First deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jiří Schneider after they both participated in the ceremonial opening of the Tourist – Information Center in Bakhchisaray.
The meeting was also attended by the chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Vitezslav Pivonka, policy adviser of the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Luboš Veselý, Head of the department of the Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Kasatka, deputy Chairman of Mejlis Akhtem Chiygoz, Head of department of foreign relations of Mejlis Ali Khamzin and the Head of Bakhchisaray regional state administration Ilmi Umerov.
During the detailed discussion Mustafa Jemilev and Jiří Schneider exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues related to the public and political processes in Ukraine, Crimea and the situation with Crimean Tatars.
The Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people told the First deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jiří Schneider about the preparation to the International Forum on the restoration of the rights of Crimean Tatar people on their homeland, its security and guarantee of development in Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting stressed that solving of all questions related to the restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people directly depends on establishment of the democratic principles in the society, mutual respect and tolerance that in its turn are promoted through the various investment and humanitarian projects implemented by the EU countries in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the framework of cooperation between the EU and Ukraine.
