Ceremonial Opening of New Mosque Takes Place in Qunan (Krasnoselskoe) Settlement, Aqmescit (Chernomorsky) Region

On November 15, 2013, the ceremonial opening of new mosque was held in Qunan settlement, Aqmescit region in Crimea.

Hajji Esadullah Bairov, deputy mufti of Muslims of Crimea, Mr Zaur Smirnov and Mr Ayder Adzhimambetov,vice chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Mr Muhammed Taha, Chairman of Alraid, Mr Leman Abduramanov, chief imam of Aqmescit region, Mr Shevket Smailov, Chairman of Aqmescit Regional Mejlis, as well as residents and guests of the village took part in the ceremony.

The new mosque accommodates more than 100 prayers at once. It was built with the financial assistance of the Kuwaiti state charity, Bait Al Zakat, support of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Crimea and Alraid. The construction lasted around one year and cost 800 thousand UAH.

Mr Esadullah Bairov and Mr Zaur Smirnov congratulated the Muslims of Qunan village on behalf of the Mufti hajji Emirali Ablaev and Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov respectively with the opening of the mosque and presented gifts.

Dr Muhammed Taha, Mr Leman Abduramanov and Mr Shevket Smailov also congratulated the Muslims with this occasion. The representatives of the local ummah presented Dr Muhammed Taha Crimean Tatar national hat – qalpaq.

After the ceremonial opening of the mosque all the Muslims made Friday prayer and then the residents and guests of Qunan village had the festive board.
