Rally of Solidarity with Crimea

On February 26, in Kyiv, on Independence Square “Maidan Nezalezhnosti” a rally devoted to the 4th anniversary of the occupation of Crimea by the Russian aggressor was held. The organizer was the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People. Despite the  freezing weather, the rally gathered up to several hundred participants: Crimean settlers, activists, Kyiv city residents and members of the public organizations.

The following delegates spoke on the stage: Chairman of the Mejlis – Refat Chubarov, his Deputy – Akhtem Chiygoz, Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea – Aider Rustamov, People’s Deputy of Ukraine – Yuliy  Mamchur, recently released a Russian political prisoner – Rafis Kashapov and others.

At the end of the rally, from the stage, Refat Chubarov, mentioned the names and surnames of all 64 prisoners who are being kept in Russian jails today.
