Faction “Qurultay-Rukh” Supports Ratification of EU – Ukraine Association Agreement

Faction “Qurultay-Rukh” in the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea opposed the statement of the Presidium of the Crimean Parliament supporting the order of the Ukrainian government suspending the process of preparation to the ratification of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement. Mr Refat Chubarov, Head of the faction, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People stated this at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea held on November 27, 2013, the Crimean Mass Media report.

“I assure you that the time will come when the current President will sign this agreement and it will be a same for many of you,”- Mr Refat Chubarov noted.

MP of VR of Crimea called to exclude this item from the agenda of the session and noted that the statement was adopted by the majority without consideration of the opinion of other factions. “Violence in the politics will definitely result in violence in the streets. We don’t want this. In general, I don’t support this statement,”- the Head of the faction “Qurultay-Rukh said.
