Mejlis Head Mustafa Jemilev Meets Ambassador of Turkish Republic to Lithuania Mr Akin Algan
On June 26, 2013, in the framework of the working visit of the delegation of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People to the Republic of Lithuania in respond to the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Lithuania Mr Akin Algan the Head of the delegation, the Chairman of Mejlis Mustafa Jemilev and the members of the delegation Mr Refat Chubarov, Mr Ali Hamzin, Mr Aslan Omer Qirimli, and Mr Adas Yakubauskas, Chairman of the Council of Lithuanian Tatars communities, representative of Mejlis in Lithuania visited the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Lithuania.
During the meeting in the Embassy the parties discussed the issues relating to the situation with Crimean Tatar people and preparation to the International Forum on the restoration of the rights of Crimean Tatar people in their Homeland, ensuring their safety and guaranteeing the development in Ukraine.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey informed his guests with a range of humanitarian projects implemented in Lithuania with support of the Turkish Government in the field of restoration and preserving of culture, history and language of the Tatars in Lithuania.
The parties continued their friendly talk and exchange of opinions during the dinner that Mr Akin Algan, Turkish Ambassador to Lithuania gave in honor of the Head of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Mustafa Jemilev and members of the delegation.
