Mejlis Leader Mustafa Jemilev Met With Minister Of Foreign Affairs Of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara
The Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev held the working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara on April 4, 2013 in Kyiv.
The meeting was also attended by the assistant of the MP, CEO of the Foundation for the development of Crimea Alexei Skorik, Head of the Department of relations with Ukrainians abroad and cultural-humanitarian cooperation Vladimir Yatsenkivsky and Deputy Head of the OSCE, Deputy Head of the Department of the Secretariat of the Minister Uevgeny Tsymbalyuk.
The issues relating to the organization and holding of the International forum on restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people in their Homeland, ensuring their safety and guaranteeing of their development in Ukraine under the aegis of the OSCE, the prolongation of Bishkek agreement 1992 by Ukraine and holding of the second round of the quadripartite meeting, initiated by the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Turkey last year were discussed during the meeting.
Mustafa Jemilev told in details about the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the position of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the vision of the implementation of the state policy relating to providing the international assistance to Ukraine in the process of the return, resettlement of the deportees and restoration of their rights in volumes, determined by the national law and international agreements.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara confirmed with deep understanding and comprehension of the situation the interest of the state to promote the return and resettlement of the deported Crimean Tatar people and citizens belonging to other nationalities. He also noted the positive role of the international cooperation in this issue.
In his order, voiced during the meeting Leonid Kozhara said about the need for the full and quickest preparation of the documents to begin the process of the prolongation of Bishkek agreement.
The Minister also expressed his readiness to work out the issue of the organization of the second round of the quadrilateral meeting in the territory of Ukraine. The situation, related to the preparation of the International forum took the significant position in consideration and participants of the meeting marked the basic positions and events to promote this issue.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his interest and readiness to hold the regular meetings to solve the problems regularly and to find ways of cooperation, both in the problems mentioned, and other topics of the international cooperation and strengthening of the positions of Ukraine on the international level.
Mejlis Leader Mustafa Jemilev thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara for the meeting and the constructive dialogue.
