Statement of Press Service of Mejlis on Exhibition in Crimea, Dedicated to Tyrant Stalin

On December 21, 2012 the regional branch of Russian organization “Essence of Time – Crimea” organizes the exhibition in Crimea, timed to the 133rd anniversary of birth of one of the most cruel tyrants in the history of a mankind who committed the most terrible crimes – Joseph Stalin.

The organizers of the exhibition present Stalin’s personality as one of the most outstanding leader of the state “in the history of Russian civilization”. The exhibition plans to show the pictures of the leaders of Nazi Germany – Hitler and Ribbentrop who eulogized Stalin.

This event is organized by the Crimean regional branch of all-Russian “left-wing patriotic” movement, founded by Sergei Kurginyan. This dark personality in modern Russia opposes the development of the democratic values and democracy in Russian, state and actively promotes the revival of the criminal USSR state.

This kind of action is a rough interference with the public life of the independent Ukrainian state on the part of all-Russian public movement “Essence of Time”.

More over this exhibition is a planned open provocation, aimed at discrediting Ukraine in the period when it recently took the prestigious mission of chairing in the OSCE.

In this situation the leaders of Crimean autonomy, including the representatives of the security services and the Ministry of Internal Affairs took an incomprehensible position again, as it was during the recent destruction of Crimean Tatar self-willed constructions in Molodezhnoe settlement in Simferopol region, made by the activists of the Party “Russian Unity”.

In this connection, we would like to draw the attention of the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych to the planned provocation of pro-Russian organizations of Crimea, representing the danger for our society.
