R.Chubarov Does not Exclude that Blasts and Attacks were Aimed at Provoking an Adequate Reaction of Crimean Tatars

The First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Head of the Parliamentary faction “Qurultay-Rukh” in the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Refat Chubarov said this at his press conference, titled: “Two provocations during one night… Who wants to blow the situation in Crimea?” held on December 4, 2012.

Commenting on the events that took place in Crimea on November 30 – December 1, 2012 at night next to Molodezhnoe settlement in Simferopol region where the constructions in Crimean Tatar protest camp were destroyed, and the unestablished persons attacked the guard in the territory of the future construction of Buyuk Juma Jami (Central Mosque) in Aqmescit, the First Vice Chairman of Mejlis Refat Chubarov stated that Crimean community is concerned so much with the mentioned accidents.

“The blasts of bottles with firing inflammable in the territory of the future construction of Central Mosque is a kind of something really new in the actions of those who defaced Muslim monuments, religious burials, monuments of the victims of deportation with perfect impunity,”- Refat Chubarov said.

It is a common knowledge that in fact no persons, guilty in numerous acts of vandalism, related to the Crimean Tatar people were not found, established or punished. However, this time the attack was made on a living person who guarded the territory, secret to every Muslim, using the bottles with inflammable liquid.

“Today I said to Mr. Aksenov that I can’t exclude that those who didn’t satisfy their gangster needs during the mess in Molodezhnoe settlement could commit the second crime against the guard of the territory of Central Mosque,”- the Head of the Parliamentary faction “Qurultay-Rukh” in the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Refat Chubarov said, concluding the results of his meeting with the Leader of the Party “Russian Movement” Sergei Aksenov whose organization took the responsibility for the attack on the “protest camp” in Molodezhnoe.

According to R.Chubarov the Leader of the Party “Russian Movement” Sergei Aksenov rejected the assumption about the involvement of his supporters in the attack on 22 Yaltinskaya Str., saying that he was responsible only for those who took part in Molodezhnoe mess on November 30 – December 1 night, 2012.

“For me this position of Crimean politicians associates with a feeling that someone gives the order and then says that every “my gangster” is a moral person in a certain extent, and he couldn’t take part in a second mess after the first one, – R.Chubarov said, commenting on S.Aksenov’s position. It seems to me that it all depends on our understanding of the political culture and those processes that take place in Crimea”.

The First Vice Chairman of Mejlis voiced the concern, existed in Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and Crimea community, related to the exhalation of the actions of those who consider that any dialogue in Crimea is unbearable for them.

R. Chubarov doesn’t exclude also the fact that such actions were aimed at provoking an adequate reaction of Crimean Tatars.

On December 3, 2012 when a group of young men asked me why can’t they take the houses of their grandfathers who were forcibly deported from Crimea in 1944, and that if someone thinks one could come at night and resolve this or that property or land issue in favor of someone who they consider to be the legal owners, why others can’t make the order as they see it,”- the politician informed the journalists about the indignation of the community, relating to the events that took place in Crimea at night on November 30 – December 1 2012.

At this Refat Chubarov underscored that such talks and assumptions, including the ones among his nationals would be nipped in the bud by Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. The First Vice Chairman of Mejlis is sure that any consent in the community could be achieved my means of reaching agreement among all its parts without any exclusion.

We would remind you that at night on November 30 – December 1 the constructions in Crimean Tatar protest camp next to Molodezhnoe settlement in Simferopol region were destroyed, and the unestablished persons attacked the guard in the territory of the future construction of Buyuk Juma Jami (Central Mosque) throwing bottles with inflammable liquid to the guard’s wagon.
