Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev Takes Part in 4th Congress of Turkey’s Ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party

The Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev took part as the honored guest in the 4th congress of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, held on September 30, 2012 in Ankara.

“Great Nation, Great Power, Target: 2023” read the chief motto of the fourth AK Party congress with a reference to the year 2023, when the Turkish Republic will celebrate the centennial anniversary of its foundation.

Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev was accompanied by the Head of Crimean Tatar diaspora in Kyiv, Head of Board of Crimean International Business Association Aslan Umerov.

The delegates of the 4th Congress of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party re-elected the Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Leader of the Party.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan heads the Party for the third time. The party that he founded in 2001 is in power in Turkey since 2002 when it won a landslide victory in the elections.

The Turkish Prime Minister devoted his almost 3 hour speech to the economic issues, along with the policy, noting that the Turkish Republic held out against the International crisis and showed its being the state of “trust and stability”.
