Preparation to Election of Delegates of New Qurultay Starts

On July 29, 2012, Sunday, the second meeting of the Central Election Commission on the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people was held, the Press service of the Central Election Commission reports.
The working group of the Central Election Commission was formed at the meeting to develop the “Regulations on the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people” on the basis of the Decree of the 4thsession of Qurultay “On the basic principles of the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people”.
We would remind you that this Decree brings significant changes to the system of the election of the delegates of Qurultay, first of all the direct voting of the electors for the candidates to the delegates of Qurultay.
The working group of the Central Election Commission adopted the decision to prepare the draft Regulations on the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people before August 10, 2012, as well as to declare about the possibility to bring their proposals on the draft Regulations before August 5, 2012.
The proposals could be emailed to merkezsaylavkom@gmail.com or handed to the members of the Central Election Commission.
REFERENCE: Un compliance with the Decision “On the basic principles of the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people” Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people along with the Central Election Commission was ordered to develop the “Regulations on the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people” that fully incorporates the norms, approved by the 4thsession of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5thconvocation and adopt it on the meeting of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people before August 20, 2012.
The Central Election Commission was formed on July 22, 2012 by the decision of the 4thsession of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5thconvocation, numbering 35 persons. Remzi Ablaev was elected the Chairman of the Commission. The first meeting of the Central Election Commission, held on July 22, 2012 elected Eldar Kanataev the deputy Chairman of the Commission and Beye Ilyasova its Secretary.
