Mustafa Jemilev Holds 12th Place in Joint List of United Opposition of All-Ukrainian Association «Batkivschina»
On July 30, 2012 the United Opposition of All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivschina” held its convention in an open air next to its headquarters: 13, Turovskaya Str, Kyiv.
The convention approved the candidates of the MPs from the United Opposition of All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivschina” in single-mandate election districts and single voting list in multi-mandate election district to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Both lists as well as every candidate were read and approved by the participants of the convention.
The Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev held the 12th place in the list of the United Opposition of All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivschina”.
The first five candidates that entered the list were: Julia Timoshenko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Anatoly Gritsenko, Alexander Turchilov and Yuri Lutsenko.
After the consideration of all issues at the convention there was an anthem of Ukraine, then all the delegates headed in a single column to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine where they started the special meeting.
We would remind you that on July 27, 2012 Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the United Opposition of All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivschina” signed an agreement on cooperation in the election.
7 parties entered the united opposition, they are: All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivschina”, Front Zmin, National Rukh of Ukraine, Civil Position, Party “For Ukraine”, Party “Reforms and Order” and Party “National Self-Defence”.
The elections to the Verkhovna Rada will be held on October 28, 2012.
