Deputy Chairman of Mejlis Remzi Ilyasov Wished Crimean Sportsmen Gold in Olympic Games in London

In the framework of the action “SUPORT OUR ATHLETES IN LONDON!”, held by the editorial office of Crimean newspaper “Segodnya”, the Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Head of the Permanent Commission of the VR AR Crimea on the interethnic relations and problems of the deported citizens Remzi Ilyasov sent a letter, wishing Crimean sportsmen, representing Crimea success in the 30th Olympic Games in London.

“Dear sportsmen, I wish you good luck in the 30th Olympic Games in London. You represent various sports – track and field athletics and weight lifting, calisthenics, boxing and wrestling, but there is something that unites you all – Crimea.”

You have to remember that we will support and empathize with you. Every one of you achieved a lot in your sport career, anyway the summit is the Olympic gold.

You defend the honor of our country. Let it gives you strength to win!”,- R.Ilyasov’s letter said.

We would remind you that this year 245 sportsmen will represent Ukraine in the 30th Olympic Games in London, including the sportsmen from Crimea: boxer Alexander Usik, calisthenics Anna Rizatdinova, Olympic champion in Beijing in shooting Artur Ayvazyan, lifter Artem Ivanov, spear throwers Vera Rebrik and Roman Avramenko, hammer thrower Alexei Sokirsky, Greco-Roman style wrestling Lenur Temirov, many times champion in shooting Daria Tikhonova and possessor of the Cube of Ukraine 2011 in triple jumping Natalia Yastrebtseva.
The opening of the Olympic Games 2012 in London was held on July 27, 2012.

The competitions in 32 different sports will be held and 302 sets of medals will be granted during the Olympic Games. More than 10,5 thousand sportsmen from various countries will take part in the Olympic Games.
