Qurultay Suggested Nominating M.Jemilev and R.Chubarov to Members of Parliament of Ukraine

The delegates of the 5^th session of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people adopted the decision to recommend the candidates of the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev and his First Deputy Refat Chubarov to include into the voting list of the MPs of Ukraine.

The majority of the delegates of the 4^th session of Qurultay of the 5^th convocation vote for this decision on July 22, 2012 on the second day of its work.

The delegates of Qurultay were sure that the decision adopted testifies to the high level of trust in the leaders of the representative body of the Crimean Tatar people who will represent and defend the rights and interests of Crimean Tatars.

We would remind you that on July 21-22, 2012 the 4^th session of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5^th convocation was held in Simferopol. During two days of work the delegates considered the following questions: main principles of election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people; coming election of MPs of Ukraine in October 2012; official symbols of the Crimean Tatar people – national flag, national emblem and anthem of the Crimean Tatar people; Central election commission on the election of the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people.

Qurultay’s work was attended by about 200 delegates, representatives of the diplomatic missions, accredited in Ukraine, international organizations, Ukrainian and Crimean authorities, as well as the representatives of Crimean Tatar diasporas from the United States, Turkey and Romania.
