Opening of New Ritual Complex in Muslim Cemetery «Abdal» in Aqmescit
On July 18, 2012 the opening of the premises to carry out the Islamic rituals before the burial of the dead was held at the Muslim cemetery inAqmescit (Simferopol).
The opening of the complex was attended by the First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of the VR ARC Refat Chubarov, Mufti of Muslims of Crimea hajji Emirali Ablaev, imams of Crimean mosques, Crimean Tatar community, MPs of Simferopol City Council from the faction “Qurultay-Rukh”.
“Since our people started its return to Crimea, we started applying for allocation of land at the cemetery ‘Abdal’ for the Moslems. Ten years ago the cemetery scheme was approved. The complex, we open today was built within one year. There were many projects proposed, but we chose this one. One man undertook the entire work. “I shall do everything for myself,” – he said. Being a modest man he asked not to mention his name,”- Mufti of Muslims of Crimea hajji Emirali Ablaev said.
The journalists insisted and Crimean Mufti was made to reveal the name of the patron of the ritual complex. It was Lenur Islyamov. Lenur Islyamov attended the event along with his father Edem aga and his younger son.
Refat Chubarov noted that many things were planned for 20 years that passed since the return of the Crimean Tatar people to Crimea, including the construction of the ritual complex in the Muslim cemetery.
“We have returned to our Homeland to live, to take roots and to develop,- Refat Chubarov said. – Few years ago I had a talk with Mufti about the poor situation of our cemeteries. The imams were proposed to look for their condition. It is our tradition to honor our ancestors: parents, relatives and friends. Neglected, scrubby cemeteries must remain in the past, because it is unnatural to our people”.
The First Vice-Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, expressed his confidence that “today’s event will become an example for other Crimean Tatars who wish to contribute to the revival of the traditions of our people… I’m sure that some of them will start restoring the ancient mosques in the villages where their parents and grandparents were born. Taking the opportunity, I’d like not only to thank Lenur Islyamov for his charitable deed, but also to say the kind words to his father – Edem aga who brought up such a son … “, – he said.
After that the participants of the event visited the premises of the ritual complex. Then Mufti of Muslims of Crimea hajji Emirali Ablaev was given the symbolic keys to the complex and everyone made a dua (prayer).
