Usein Chapukh Was Reelected Head of Yalta Regional Mejlis
On July 7, 2012 the Regional Conference of Crimean Tatars of Yalta region was held. The Conference was attended by 29 members of local mejlises of 32 elected members, representing 8 local mejlises.
In compliance with the “Provision on the local bodies of the national self-governance of the Crimean Tatar people” the chairing at the Regional Conference of Crimean Tatars of Yalta region before the election of the Head of the regional mejlis was entrusted to the Head of the Commission on the preparation and organization of the elections of local mejlises Refat Chubarov and the Secretary of the Commission Zair Smedlyaev.
The Conference was attended by the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev, his First Deputy Akhtem Chiygoz, members of Mejlis Ali Hamzin and Zaur Smirnov, as well as the delegates of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of the 5th convocation.
After the adoption of the agenda of the Conference and the order of the election of the regional mejlis, the delegates proceeded to the consideration of the election of the Head of Yalta Regional Mejlis.
In accordance with the results of the secret ballot Usein Chapukh was elected the Head of Yalta Regional Mejlis by the overwhelming majority of votes of the delegates of the Conference.
The delegates of the Conference vote for the forming of the composition of Yalta Regional Mejlis. In addition to 8 heads of local mejlises, who are the members of the regional mejlis on their position the delegates of the Conference supported Usein Chapukh’s proposition and additionally included Zaur Smirnov, Memet Barabash and Zeyneb Karaeva to the composition of the regional mejlis.
The Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev congratulated the Head of Yalta Regional Mejlis and wished the productive work to the whole composition of Mejlis of Yalta region.
